We came for a few days in August and realised we didn’t want to leave. There’s no hustle here. In the morning — the forest with its berries and mushrooms, in the afternoon — the sea, in the evening — a cosy dinner at home or at Zane’s lovely little local restaurant. We’ll definitely come back in the autumn. You can feel that the place was made with care, not just to be rented out.
It turned out even better than we expected from the photos. Very peaceful and cosy. The air, the house right in the forest, a spring where we got our drinking water. By the way, the tap water is drinkable too, but the spring water tastes better. The sea isn’t exactly warm, but it’s clean. The river water was a friendlier temperature, and we went down the river by kayak. Falling asleep is easy. The perfect place to reset.
